Ty was originally purchased as a "show dog". He was diagnosed with a genetic eye problem called Persistent Pupillary Membrane. He was neutered at 5 months. He then began obedience training as well as agility, tracking and started in Search and Rescue. He also became a wonderful nursing home therapy dog. Ty finished his CD when he was 4 yrs old (ranked 5th in the nation). He had to retire from further showing and training due to a torn ligament in both knees..
